Terms of Service

Last updated 1 June 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Niki Leskinen (“we”, “us”), the operator of Solei. By creating an account or otherwise using Solei, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The service

Solei helps you find sunny terraces, parks, and beaches in Helsinki. Sun, shade, weather, and opening-hours information are estimates calculated from public and third-party data; they can be wrong or out of date. Solei is provided for general information only — always check directly with a venue before relying on it. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Your account

You can sign in with Apple or, where offered, with an email sign-in link. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Solei. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Account → Delete account; deletion is permanent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe others’ rights when using Solei;
  • scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract data from the service except as expressly permitted;
  • probe, overload, or disrupt the service or attempt to bypass its security or rate limits; or
  • misrepresent your identity or use the service to harm, harass, or mislead others.

Content and intellectual property

Solei, including its software, design, and original content, belongs to us or our licensors. Venue details, map data, and imagery come from public and third-party sources and remain the property of their respective owners. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Solei for its intended purpose.

Disclaimer and liability

Solei is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on sun, weather, or opening-hours estimates (for example, a venue that is closed or not as sunny as predicted). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Solei after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and disputes are subject to the courts of Finland, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise. As a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in your home country and to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
