Common questions
- Do I need an account? No. You can browse the map and list, open venue details, sun windows, and weather without signing in. Sign in with Apple is optional and only syncs the spots you save across your devices.
- Where does Solei work? Soleicurrently covers Helsinki, Finland. The map opens centered on Helsinki — if you’re elsewhere, pan to Helsinki (≈60.17, 24.94) to see content.
- How is the sun calculated? Solei estimates real sunlight at each spot, accounting for the surrounding buildings, terrain, and trees — not just whether the sky is clear. Estimates can be wrong or out of date, so check with a venue before relying on them.
- A venue is wrong, missing, or closed. Venue details come from public and third-party sources and can lag reality. Email us the venue name and what’s off, and we’ll fix it.
- How do I delete my account and data? Open Account → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your saved places and sessions. See our Privacy Policy for what we store and for how long.
